Order of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Maritime Fisheries N ° 21129-05 of 13 kaada (December 15, 205) fixing the minimum conditions to be respected between one poultry farm and another, or between a farm and a hatchery or between two hatcheries

 

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Maritime Fisheries,

 

 In view of Decree No. 2-04-684 of December 27, 2004 issued for the application of Law No. 49-99 relating to the health protection of poultry farms, to the control of the production and marketing of poultry products, in particular its article 6,

 

Ministrial Decree

 

 Article 1: The establishment of new poultry farms and hatcheries must respect the following minimum distances, measured as the crow flies between these units:

 

 a)      Three (03) kilometers between:

 ·    All breeders farms and other poultry farming;

·      All breeders stock farms and hatchery;

 b)     Two (02) kilometers between:

 -   Two hatcheries;

-   A hatchery and any other poultry farm other than breeders;

-   Two farms for laying hens;

-    A farm of laying hens and a farm of broilers;

 c)      one (01) kilometer between two broiler poultry farms.

  

Article 2: Without prejudice to the provisions of article 1 above, the new buildings for raising future hens or breeders must be located outside the production farms for consumption eggs and hatching eggs.

 

This provision does not apply to farms practicing the single-band farming system and where the farming phase and the production phase take place in the same buildings.

 

  Article 3: The Director of Livestock is responsible for the application of this decree which will be published in the official bulletin.
